Normally if I want a report in PDF I have to first view the report in the web browser, then select export as PDF and save the PDF file.
Is there a way to avoid the first step (web browser viewing) and have the report immediatly in PDF as soon as I click the "View Report" button? (without using email/file subscription)

Can I somehow auto-generate an MDX query based on current settings in the AS OWC cube browser? Why? If so, I will want to use the AS OWC cube browser to filter the data down to < 66K rows, then auto-generate an MDX query from the current browsed settings, copy and paste the MDX script into MS Excel's OLAP query, and use it. I'm trying to avoid the 66K row limitation in Excel 2002.
If this is innappropriate, is there another way, besides raw MDX hand-coding, to accomplish the same thing?
You can start a trace using the SQL Server Profiler, and see the MDX query created by OWC. Then use that query in Excel?Chris.

Hi,
why would you need to open a webpage every day? SQL Server's capable of sending emails itself. Another option is to create a console application that can send the mails and have it scheduled with windows task schedular to run at 6am every day.

The reason I'd like to open up a web page is because, the template of the data is already there. With little bit of improvisation I would get it to be sending an email.
Actually, I did know (didn't know the code) it is possible to send emails from SQL 2K but not 05 Express.
My intension now is to open up the web page with a process and later kill the process. (with the help of schedular). It is not the best methods around as far as I can see, but hopefully I would be able to implement that quickly.

create a console application and use theHttpServerUtility.Execute method to execute the webform and capture the rendered html. No need to open a browser etc.
